Wayne Cohen is a hit songwriter, record producer, and educator whose songs include Top 10 hits and and #1 albums, which have sold more than 6 million, and have generated tens of millions of Spotify streams, released by all three of the major label groups.

Wayne is a long-time successful songwriter, producer and artist developer. He has had many releases, including Top 10 hit for 90’s UK girl group Eternal, “Just A Step From Heaven”, recently re-recorded & re-released by original Eternal member Louise. 

His first breakthrough was co-writing five songs including the hit single, “Sleeping With The Lights On” on the multi-platinum debut album by Curtis Stigers (signed by Clive Davis). Wayne wrote and produced five songs released by Jennifer Love Hewitt. He has had many film and T.V. placements like in the film Practical Magic starring Sandra Bullock. 

In addition to his three decades of real-world experience, Wayne is a song educator whose many students have taken his three, semester-long, Melody Writing, Lyric Writing and Track Writing/DAW Arranging courses, as well as One-On-One tutoring and workshops, at his education company Hit Song School, which has operated for 10 years. Wayne has created and taught courses and masterclasses at university-level institutions including NYU, Berklee, in the Netherlands at the Wisselord Songwriting Academy, and in the UK at Tileyard Education, ICMP and the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) founded by Paul McCartney.
